Dan River Trips
The Dan River Company offers great river adventures. Our canoe and kayak trips are selected to give every paddler the opportunity to enjoy the rivers of North Carolina
We have two trips available on a regular schedule Custom trips are available.

The Hanging Rock Run, a class 1 section of the Dan River that flows 6.5 miles;(approximate 3 hour paddle) of Rocks Trees and Water! The trip includes a 3/4 mile section at Hanging Rock State Park, along the Dan River Bluffs about 1000 feet up stream of the DRC riverside shop.
The 704 Run, a class 1 section (Harts Access) is a 13 mile, (approximate 5 hour paddle). Starting at the 704 HWY bridge with good gradient, fun rapids and a narrower section of river flowing passed the 89 HWY bridge to included the Hanging Rock Run, ending at the DRC riverside shop. Total::13 miles (approximate 5 hours)
Trips include equipment and shuttle service to the start (put in) and ending at the Dan River Company's riverside facility. Paddle fast or slow all Rental boats must be in by 5:30 PM
